2022 Year End Review
2022 was a very fulfilling year for Mogutable, and we can’t believe the year has come to an end. As we’ve been reflecting on 2022, we feel especially grateful for the second year of our Williamsburg store and all the lessons we’re taking from it. Compared to the first year, we feel much more settled in and have gotten used to the routines involved, along with the operations, but also feel challenged to be more flexible and open to change.
In 2022, we continued to carry out our mission of sharing the stories and work of amazing artists and brands. The process of working with each one of them is always fun and unique: from the point of contacting them, learning each other’s background and stories, to deciding what and how we could work together. We love putting together our Brand Series to introduce new brands to you. We loved testing products ourselves, making videos to show the intricate details for the products, holding events to show some artists’ work, and also meeting you in person and having the opportunity to share why we love the pieces we do.
Here are some special highlights of this past year:
Events We Held & Participated in 2022:
February: Zi-Han Of A⊆Z Exhibition at Mogutable
May: Icheon Ceramists Yeo Kyung-Lan, Jang Hun-Seong, and Yon Ho-Kyung Exhibition at Mogutable
November: Zhitaofang’s / 製陶方式 Exhibition at Mogutable
Our goal for 2023 is to simply continue our mission of sharing, by introducing more independent artists that we admire. We also hope we can finally introduce our house ceramic pieces and Mogutable products next year to you. There are many exciting things for 2023 (psst like expanding to popups and markets), so be sure to stay tuned!
