This bowl from 3RD Ceramics is wheel-thrown from coarse stoneware clay — a deliberate choice that gives each piece its own character. Throwing marks, trimming traces, and glaze variations are part of the design, making each bowl nearly one-of-a-kind. Two glazes are layered on the surface: a matte base beneath a glassy crackle finish that creates depth and shifts with the light. The shallow, open form is designed to hold rice or sides beautifully, with just enough room to let the food sit naturally.
