Seasonal Holiday Market Sales Associate

About the Role

Mogutable is looking for friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Seasonal Sales Associates to join our team at the Union Square Holiday Market and Bryant Park Winter Village.

This role involves providing excellent customer service, processing sales, restocking merchandise, and keeping our market booths organized and welcoming. The holiday season, especially December, can be extremely busy, so we're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable handling both customer-facing and hands-on tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service
  • Assist customers with product questions and recommendations
  • Process purchases accurately and efficiently using our POS system
  • Maintain clean, organized, and attractive product displays
  • Restock merchandise and monitor inventory throughout the day
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including daily setup and cleanup
  • Keep products properly priced and displayed
  • Communicate inventory needs and other issues to the manager
  • Support other daily market operations as needed

  • Comfortable working in a semi-outdoor environment during cold winter weather.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods during a shift
  • Able to lift and move boxes as needed
  • Weekend and holiday availability is required
  • Availability to work 3–5 days per week during December is strongly preferred
  • Previous retail, customer service, or POS system experience is a plus

Holiday Availability

The holiday season is our busiest time of year, particularly in December. We are looking for team members who can commit to a consistent schedule throughout the season, with increased availability during peak holiday weeks. Certain blackout dates may apply when time off may not be available. Scheduling needs and blackout dates will be communicated in advance.

Position Details

  • Position: Seasonal, part-time
  • Location: Union Square Holiday Market and Bryant Park Winter Village, NYC
  • Schedule: Part-time, with 3–5 days per week preferred during December
  • Pay: $18 per hour + tips (Based on previous holiday seasons, total hourly earnings have typically ranged from $20–$35.)
