Celadon Ceramic Teapot
5" x H4" / 8.8 oz
This pear-shaped Chinese teapot is finished in the traditional celadon color. Celadon, a technique created in China but named as such by the British, refers to any pottery with a green, jade-like finish. It is created by using iron oxide in the glaze which burns off, leaving the green color behind. This style of greenware was first popularized during the Shang Dynasty (around 1100 BCE). Hold a piece of history in your hands and continue its use in tea practices for years to come.
