Designed by multiple award winning Nambu tekki (cast iron) craftsman Nobuho Miya, these bottle openers are a perfectly charming yet austere addition to any dinner party. Coming in a taller rectangular and shorter ovular form, both use isosceles triangles to make up the handle portion of the opener.
Their shape-born silhouettes play off of the kokeshi dolls that are native to the Iwate Prefecture in Japan where these bottle openers are manufactured. The iron is coated in an urushi lacquer which may wear off in time to reveal a natural patina of the gorgeous silver-brown metal below.
